Aircel Deploys Oracle Solutions to Offer VAS and Increase Userbase to 50 Million
Indian communications company Aircel has chosen Oracle's Communications Services Gatekeeper and Fusion Middleware solutions to create a scalable, personalized content delivery platform, in a bid to increase revenue generation by way of Value Added Services (VAS). The premise to Aircel’s collaboration with Oracle is to increase its userbase from 31 million to 50 milion through this year.
Aircel is a repeat customer. It has previously deployed Oracle Communications service fulfillment software, Oracle’s Siebel CRM, Oracle Fusion Middleware and Oracle Database.
Per the message from Aircel, the Oracle deployment enables the operator to:
- Deliver personalized content in various formats - SMS, images, music, videos, games, news and regional services
- Support flexible billing and delivery models that allow customers to manage real-time content, searches and subscription offerings via short message service (SMS) requests, interactive voice response (IVR) and the multi-channel portal
- Offer a secure partner self-service Web portal that makes it easier for third-party content providers to rapidly onboard and scale their content and applications, and manage offerings within their own micro-portals
- Monetize and generate incremental revenue from its network by managing and delivering message-based campaigns to its subscribers, and by offering users personalized content based on their home’s location or circle, their demographic profile, their handset type, or by an analysis of their usage history
An exclusive recently published on Devmarch focuses on the recent advancements in the Indian VAS markets and explains how Aircel, Airtel, Idea and Reliance are capitalising on the widely untapped personalized content delivery structure in India.
