To meet the needs of global market, companies ensure that products are designed and developed free of any culture-specific attributes, so they can be easily localized. These internationalization processes have to consider target culture specific differences to create a design that then can be localized to meet the cultural needs. In a globalized world, it is important for designers to understand preferences dues to age differences, class Differences, gender differences and trends. In this presentation, the author will try to sensitize the audience on the topic of cross-cultural and trans-cultural design.
