Final Call (Phase II) for Proposals Closes on February 9, 2018

Great Indian Developer Summit (GIDS), India's biggest conference/expo for software practitioners is now accepting original session and workshop ideas for the eleventh edition to take place April 24-28, 2018 in Bangalore. We invite you to submit a proposal to lead conference sessions or tutorials at GIDS 2018.

Please be advised that proposals are invited only from independent speakers who are not associated with an organization that has marketing interest in the summit.

Steps to Submit Your Proposal

Step 1: Identify a topic that is relevant to the GIDS audience: they're technical, professional, and very smart. GIDS places emphasis on original presentation ideas that focus on real-world scenarios, relevant examples, and knowledge transfer. Each proposal has to subscribe to one or more of the co-located conferences (and topics) below.

Step 2: Carefully read the GIDS 2018 CfP Submission Guidelines [+]

  • Proposals are preferred from independent speakers who are not associated with an organization that has marketing interest in GIDS. For vendor representatives and evangelists responding to the CfP, there is clearly no scope for marketing pitches, product plugs or any reference whatsoever to their organization's products or service offerings. Sponsored talks are permitted through conference sponsorship. For further details on sponsorship and exhibitor opportunities, please contact Marc Naz.
  • Estimated presentation length - there are three types of presentations - Long Talk (60 mins), Short Talk (30 mins) and workshop (360 mins). Submission of final presentation decks to the conference chair is required on or before the 16th of April 2018 to enable publication of the conference proceedings.
  • Complimentary Registration - one presenter per selected presentation is eligible for complimentary full conference registration to Great Indian Developer Summit 2018, which includes admission to the exhibit hall and conference (general & break-out sessions), delegate material, delegate luncheons, coffee/refreshments, and cool conference gear. Additional passes for your peers (up to a maximum of 5) are available at a discounted price until 31st March 2018 or before seats are sold out (whichever is earlier). Kindly note that GIDS does not cover flights, hotel or other incidental expenses for CfP submissions that are accepted.
  • Once the abstract has been submitted through the submission form (below), an automatic email response will be sent to confirm receipt. Please retain the email for your records.
  • All conference proceedings, including audio, video, photo and text transcriptions, at GIDS 2018 will automatically become copyright of Saltmarch Media (India) Pvt Ltd., and may be published (commercial or non-commercial) using different mediums to disseminate information to a larger audience.

Important Dates

  • Last date for submission of proposals(Phase I): November 3, 2017
  • Last date for submission of proposals(Phase II): February 9, 2018
  • Completion of Proposal Review by Conference Chair: February 27, 2018
  • Notification of selected speakers*: March 2, 2018
  • Selected speakers to submit final manuscripts (PPT, PPTX): April 16, 2018
  • GIDS 2018 - Bangalore: April 24-28, 2018

* Kindly note that since we typically receive a large volume of proposals, we are able to write back only to confirmed speakers. If you do not hear from us on or before Feb 27th 2018, chances are that your proposal did not make the cut or has been moved to a late breaking queue.

* Proposals are reviewed as we receive them, so if you submit a particularly compelling proposal, don't be surprised if we confirm and publish your talk and details well before the deadlines noted above.
